As part of the European initiative for achieving the Millennium Development Goals, a National Water Supply and Sanitation Program (PNAEPA) was developed in 2007 and 2008 in the Republic of Guinea and has been operated by the National Service for Water Points (SNAPE). Moreover, a reform and a national sectoral water and sanitation policy were elaborated to continue the decentralization process. This resulted in the development of an operational strategy for the Public Water Service (SPE).
This project was funded under the 10th European Development Fund. The overall goal is to improve the living conditions and the health of populations in rural and semi-urban areas. Antea Group has been providing a technical assistance under this project. As part of this technical assistance, Antea Group will mainly support the stakeholders of the Public Water Service and perform technical services while involving the SNAPE and the municipalities.
